Non-Enrolled Cardholder Experience During Checkout
The cardholder checks out as normal. If their card issuing bank supports Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode then they have link that they can click on if they wish to enroll. This would open in a new window and would not interrupt their shopping experience if they chose to enroll. Either way the cardholder would finish checking out and would receive confirmation of order form the merchant.

How it Works with the VerePay Gateway
When the customer purchases items from a participating merchant’s website the payment information is passed through the VerePay gateway or the shopping cart to Issuer Authentication Software and the PIN number verifies that the cardholder is who they say they are. All of this takes place in less than a second and does not add any additional time to the checkout process for the cardholder.
